If you love chocolate shop fudge but do not love the price, this easy homemade fudge recipe is a great one to keep on hand. A pound of fudge from a candy shop can be expensive, especially during the holidays when treat trays, neighbor gifts, and dessert platters start adding up. Making fudge at home is much more affordable, and you can customize the flavor with your favorite chocolate chips, nuts, candy pieces, or baking bits.
This version is based on a simple fudge method that uses chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. There is no candy thermometer, no boiling sugar syrup, and no testing for soft ball stage. Everything melts together in one pan, then the toasted almonds and toffee bits are stirred in for extra crunch and flavor. It is a simple recipe that feels special enough for Christmas, parties, potlucks, or a quick family dessert.
5-Minute Toffee Fudge
This 5-minute toffee fudge comes together quickly on the stovetop. The hands-on time is only a few minutes, and the rest of the time is simply waiting for the fudge to cool and set. Refrigerating the pan helps it firm up faster, making it easy to slice into neat little squares.

The combination of semisweet chocolate, buttery toffee bits, and toasted sliced almonds gives this fudge a wonderful texture. The almonds add a warm, nutty flavor, while the toffee bits bring little pockets of caramel-like crunch. You can certainly experiment with other mix-ins later, but this toffee almond version is a delicious place to start.
Sliced almonds work especially well because they distribute evenly through the fudge and are easy to bite into. Toasting them first makes a big difference in flavor, so do not skip that step if you have a few extra minutes. Heath toffee bits are usually found in the baking aisle and are essentially small pieces of crunchy toffee without the chocolate coating.

5-Minute Toffee Fudge Ingredients
- 1 (12 oz.) bag semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- ¾ cup toasted sliced almonds
- ¾ cup Heath toffee bits

How to Make 5-Minute Fudge
Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper. If you do not have parchment paper, butter the dish well to help keep the fudge from sticking.
Set aside 2 tablespoons of the toasted almonds and 2 tablespoons of the toffee bits. These will be sprinkled over the top of the fudge before it chills.

Add the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk to a large saucepan. Warm them over low heat, stirring often, until the chocolate chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.

Stir in the toasted almonds and toffee bits until they are evenly mixed into the chocolate.

Spread the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish with a rubber spatula, smoothing the top as evenly as possible.

Sprinkle the reserved almonds and toffee bits over the top of the fudge. Refrigerate until the fudge is cooled and set, about 1 hour.

Lift the parchment paper from the pan and transfer the fudge to a cutting board. Use a sharp knife to slice it into 36 small squares.
How to Store 5-Minute Fudge
Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for at least 7 days. Keep the pieces separated with parchment paper if you are stacking them. This fudge is great for holiday trays, treat boxes, or a quick chocolate dessert when you want something rich and easy.

Notes
How to Toast Almonds
Spread the sliced almonds in a thin, even layer on a baking sheet. Toast them in a 350-degree oven for 5 to 8 minutes, or until they are lightly golden and fragrant. Watch them closely because nuts can burn quickly.
How to Microwave 5-Minute Fudge
You can make this easy toffee fudge in the microwave instead of on the stove. Add the chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl and pour the sweetened condensed milk over the top. Microwave for 60 seconds, then stir. Continue heating in 30-second increments, stirring after each one, until the mixture is melted and smooth. Stir in the toasted almonds and toffee bits, then continue with the remaining directions.
